SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Erie Historic Preservation Advisory Board recommends the Town of Erie to Landmark the Al and Mary Schofield Farm that was purchased from the Joe and Eva Distel Family.
The Historic Farm was Landmarked by Boulder County in 1997. The Boulder County Landmark is transferrable as well as all the Historic documentation to Erie to Landmark as per History Colorado.
The property might be eligible for Colorado’s State Historic Preservation tax credits which are transferable and can be sold upon the completion of a project. Selling credits can bring additional funds for a project, for a cash match for a grant or for a loan. Preservation tax credits give access to additional federal and state funding pools, grant programs and further tax credits.
An Erie Landmark Designation Form has been completed and is attached to the Boulder Landmark in order to complete the submission.
