SUMMARY/KEY POINTS
• CTL|Thompson will conduct additional geotechnical investigation of the undermining at the Erie Town Center and Erie Community Center properties.
• CTL|Thompson will help develop a final mine subsidence mitigation plan with the Town’s selected contractor and work with the Colorado Geological Survey to establish a consensus regarding development constraints on the site.
BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Town Council instructed staff to proceed with the underground mine subsidence mitigation for Erie Town Center. This additional geotechnical analysis and consultant support by CTL|Thompson is necessary to facilitate the mitigation work. Staff anticipate the mine subsidence project will begin this spring following the CTL|Thompson analysis.
