SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Town extended their lease agreement in 2025 with Diana Shannon Living Trust for the 130 Wells Street property across from Coal Creek Park to provide a location for downtown placemaking activities. To continue activating the site, offset the Town’s operating cost, and bring attractive services/businesses to downtown, and as we did in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, Town staff proposes entering into a Sublease Agreement with Ryno Retail, LLC d/b/a Plum Creek Garden Market for four months at a monthly rental amount of $1,670. Plum Creek Garden Market has operated successfully at this location and contributes to increased foot traffic in the downtown area.
If approved, Plum Creek Garden Market will operate at 130 Wells Street from March 17 to July 17, 2025.
