STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Please review and discuss the applications for the Sustainability Advisory Board. Members of the Sustainability Advisory Board (SAB) should make recommendations to fill three (3) three-year terms ending April 30, 2029, and one (1) resigned term ending April 30, 2027.

SUMMARY/KEY POINTS
• Advisory boards make recommendations for board appointments to the Town Council every two years.
• Three (3) positions on the SAB are ending on April 30, 2026, and one position has been resigned with a term ending April 30, 2027.
• SAB will need to appoint four (4) members to the board of the eight (8) attached applications.
• Three (3) applicants will be appointed to three (3) three-year terms to fulfill the odd numbered year appointments as updated in the Town of Erie Municipal Code.
• One (1) applicant will be appointed to Richard Kattar’s resigned seat ending on April 30, 2027.
BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Ordinance 30-2025 repealed and reenacted Title 3 of the Erie Municipal Code regarding boards, commissions, and committees. Appointments shall occur in April of odd number of years or as necessary to fill vacancies. Because of the Municipal Code update, three (3) applicants will now be appointed seats with terms ending April 30, 2029.
