SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Town has received funding though both Weld and Boulder Counties for CARES Act funds related to the pandemic. These funds allow purchase of supplies and protective equipment to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as long as they are purchased by December 31, 2020. The supplies and equipment can be used through December 31, 2021.

Staff determined that a high priority protective measure would be to install COVID-19 symptom testing stations in all Town facilities. Lori Wisner, Risk Manager, researched a wide variety of options for and submitted the recommendations to the team responsible for the allocation of CARES Act funds. These systems were presented and approved by the Board on the October 13, 2020 consent agenda.

Due to administrative changes this item is being brought back before the Board for re-approval. The Sentry units originally listed in the October 13, 2020 consent agenda item are unavailable for use in the Town of Erie because of a licensing agreement requirement the Town would not accept due to liability issues. The Savance EIOBOard units (see below) have now been ordered in place of the Sentry units.
