SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

This ordinance accomplishes the land conveyance of the Water Tank Land contemplated by the First Amendment to the Pre-Development Agreement for North Westerly.

Town Staff have long identified the need for a new water tank within the vicinity of the North Westerly site. Negotiations with the previous landowner, the State Land Board, did not result in an acquisition of land for the tank. The current property owner, North Westerly Owner, LLC, worked collaboratively with Town staff to identify an approximately 4-acre site for the tank within the future neighborhood. The transfer of this land was included as part of the Pre-Development Agreement for North Westerly and is an agreed-upon priority for both parties.
