SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Boulder County Transportation will begin a roadway resurfacing project on Arapahoe ½ mile east and west of 119th Street beginning, July 10. The project limits are from Lakota Ranch Road on the western side to the Town of Erie limits on the eastern side (see attached vicinity Map). The project also includes improvements to the intersection of Arapahoe Road and 119th Street, and adding bike lanes to tie into the bike lanes constructed with the Compass development west of County Line Road.

In order to safely accommodate the project, the road will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During this time, traffic control personnel will be used to move travelers safely around the work zone. There may be times when the lane closure is needed overnight. If this is required, temporary traffic signals will be used to move travelers around the work area. Cyclists will be asked to merge into the general travel lane during the project.

The project is expected to last until mid-September 2017.
