SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: At the May 9, 2017 meeting the Board of Trustees awarded a Consultant Contract to OZ Architecture, and at the September 12, 2017 meeting the Board of Trustees awarded a pre-construction agreement to Fransen Pittman. These two agreements have allowed Town staff to work with Fransen Pittman, Oz Architecture and several trade subs to evaluate factors related to construction costs, preliminary project schedule, construction feasibility, selection of materials, building systems and equipment allowing for a construction cost estimate.
The Design Consultant Contract before you tonight is the next step in maintaining the progress of the design. Through the previous contracts the schematic design has been completed. With the intent of meeting a schedule that will allow construction to begin within one month of the April Bond election, the schematic design will need to be developed to 75% Construction Documents.
