SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
This a summary report of the single-family residential building permit trends from 2015 thru 2019.
The Town of Erie has experienced rapid growth in single-family housing development over the recent years, resulting in the single family building permit trends as illustrated in the attachment. Between the years of 2015 thru 2019, the Town of Erie Building Permit department have issued the following number of single-family resident permits for New Construction:
2015 426 Permits
2016 465 Permits
2017 488 Permits
2018 636 Permits
2019 601 Permits
The 5-year average for Single Family New construction is 523 permits per year. Staff has provide a chart summarizing the total building permits by year and by month over the period.
