Presentation on 1st Quarter status of the 2020 Work Plan, followed by Board questions, discussion and direction as necessary.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
In 2019 the Board considered all the issues and projects confronting the Town and then adopted the 2019 Work Plan. That Plan included 46 projects/issues in priority order and set a rough schedule for the Board to consider each issue. That approach helped ensure staff stayed focused on the Board’s top priorities.
As part of the 2020 Budget process, the Board adopted a similar Work Plan for 2020. The attached summary table of the 2020 Work Plan reflects the issues on the 2020 Plan, as well as other issues that staff is working on (to provide a context for workload above and beyond the day to day business of delivering Town services).
With the pandemic impacting workload and the anticipated revenue for 2020, and with new Trustees joining the Board, it’s a good time to review the Work Plan. Staff’s intent in this review is to address questions the Board may have with the projects/issues on the plan, prior to the Board considering this matter in more detail during the Board’s retreat on May 15/16 and finalizing a Work Plan for the remainder of 2020.
