SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

On May 9, 2023, the Town of Erie was hit by a severe hailstorm consisting of heavy rains and hail stones greater than 2 inches in diameter. With this storm, the skylights on the Erie Community Center were damaged. This damage was included in the Town’s initial insurance claim with the Town’s insurance carrier (CIRSA) and the Town received payment from CIRSA to complete this repair.

Town staff requested a proposal for the skylight replacement from Power Products. They installed the original skylights and are the preferred vendor to complete the replacement. Town staff believe Power Products is qualified to complete this project and is in the best interest of the Town to use.
