SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
In late 2018 CGRS was retained as the Town of Erie’s oil and gas consultant. CGRS continued in 2019 to serve as the primary consultant for oil and gas matters and has assisted the Town by providing the following:
• Technical expertise on application and policy setting
• Response to application
• Technical expertise on proposed and current activity
• Onsite inspections of wells and facilities
• Regulatory compliance assistance
Staff is recommending to retain CGRS for 2020 to continue the services provided in 2019. The attached contract is for a not to exceed amount of $50,000. Approval of this contract will require a new appropriation for the full $50.000.
