POLICY ISSUES: This item involves an existing agreement between the Town of Erie and St. Vrain Valley School District and shared facility space and thus has minimal policy implications.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Approve the resolution authorizing a joint use agreement for shared facility space with St. Vrain Valley School District, authorizing the appropriate Town Officer to execute the joint use agreement.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The current Joint Use Agreement (JUA) between the Town of Erie and the Saint Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) expired on Aug. 31, 2024. With the continued high demand for programming, a JUA between the Town and SVVSD makes additional facility spaces available to maximize program opportunities for the public.
Town-sponsored programs and activities at District facilities may include, but are not limited to, youth and adult athletic practices, games, leagues, and tournaments, special events, interest classes and certification courses, non-school day activities, and neighborhood programs and meetings.
Activities sponsored and offered by the District at Town facilities may include, but are not limited to, athletic practices, games, leagues, and tournaments, special events, before and after school programs, interest classes and certification courses, non-school day activities, educational activities, programs and meetings, summer activities, and classroom activities or field trips.
