SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

In July of 2018 the Board of Trustees directed staff to craft language for a ballot issue to opt out of the State of Colorado’s SB 152 as codified in the Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 29, Article 27. Staff retained the services of Ken Fellman, of Kissinger & Fellman P.C., to draft the attached ballot title and language.

Approval of the resolution sets the ballot title and question for participation in the November 6, 2018 coordinated election.
