SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Through the annual budget process the Town Council considers all the issues confronting the Town and adopts an annual Work Plan to prioritize effort, set reasonable expectations, allocate Council meeting time to consider issues, and help ensure the Council and staff stay focused on the Council’s top priorities. Projects shown in the annual Work Plan are defined as above and beyond the daily operations of each department. The Work Plan captures major capital projects, policy action items, organizational improvements and long-term planning initiatives that require significant staffing and financial resources.
Staff prepared the Work Plan update in an interactive Gantt chart highlighting the project background, milestones, budget if applicable and projected completion date. Since the last update in April, staff has substantially completed the following work plan items:
• ADA website upgrades and redesign
• Ballot engagement websites live
• Pay Equity Study
• Advisory Board and Commission Recruitment
• Home Rule Transition
• Utility Billing Portal Transition
• Central Square Asset Management and Community Development
• Health Insurance Review
• LAWS Facility Assessment

This presentation is intentionally high-level for the Council and the public. Staff intends to refine and update the Work Plan quarterly as projects progress, increasing access to project information and transparency. Work Plan updates will be made available on the Town’s website at www.erieco.gov/workplan
