Body
SUMMARY/KEY POINTS
• The Agreement for Professional Services with Wold Architects exceeds $100,000, so amendments to this agreement must be approved by Council.
• The Fourth Amendment approves design for the following: modifications to the front reception desk to improve security for staff, repurposing a vacated cooling tower enclosure to provide secure and covered bike parking for staff, and tenant improvements to the garden level of the addition accommodating Environmental Services Division staff.
• No new appropriation of funds is required for the added design services or the completion of the additional scope of work if the Fourth Amendment to Professional Services is approved by Council.
BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
On June 14, 2022, the Board of Trustees approved a Professional Services Agreement with Wold Architects and Engineers for the Town Hall Expansion design. To remain compliant with the Town’s Purchasing Policy, the Town Board and now Council is required to approve amendments regardless of scope or amount. To date, approved amendments include:
May 9, 2023, the Board approved the First Amendment for design and coordination to add approximately 6,370 SF as a garden level third story on the building addition and the various connections from upper floors to that additional space.
June 25, 2024, Council approved the Second Amendment to complete design services through construction administration for the remaining unfinished space in the Garden Level of the Town Hall Addition including the interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, and technology/low voltage design.
March 11, 2025, the Town Council approved the Third Amendment to the Agreement for additional services to complete structural re-design for the Town Hall Phase 2 Renovation.
This Fourth Amendment to the Agreement includes design services for additional reception area security measures, a secure exterior bike storage enclosure, and tenant improvement scope in the garden level of the Phase I building addition.
