SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: On March 8, 2016, The Board of Trustees approved a Resolution, awarding the Design contract for the south wing, main floor and main entrance to Oz Architecture. However, since this initial design phase there have been several additional items requested of Oz. Those item include:

Modify documents for new design at the main entrance

Coordinate door hardware, additional lighting and HVAC scope with engineers

Select and coordinate exterior site lighting upgrades

Provide and document solutions for spalling brick and rusted guardrail collars

Additional meetings, submittals and questions during the contract administration phase.

Evaluation and proposed solutions for the HVAC system

Additional lighting, electrical, and data and wifi scope

Additional services for expanded scope

Additional services for Historic Preservation Advisory Board meeting and presentation

 

The costs for the additional items is $22,790.00, this additional amount will be added to the existing contract and will be performed under the original contract terms.

 

Staff has reviewed the Add service Change Order and recommends awarding the change order.
