SUMMARY/KEY POINTS
• The Austin Roundabout project was originally planned to be completed by the end of December 2025.
• Staff found a gas line installed by Xcel Energy was too high and needs to be lowered; this required additional construction management support coordination.
• The contract amendment approved by Council for the streetlight installation will require additional construction management services.
• Town staff identified a grade issue prior to asphalt paving that required additional construction management services for the installation of a new inlet.
BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
May 13, 2025, Town Council approved a Construction Management Services General Services Agreement was awarded to RockSol Consulting Group Inc.
Oct. 28, 2025, Town Council approved an agreement with Xcel for the relocation of a gas line in the way of completing the Austin Avenue Roundabout.
Dec. 9, 2025, Town Council approved an amendment to the Construction contract with CEI for the installation of streetlights for County Line Road and the Austin and County Line Roundabout.
Per the previously approved Resolutions, there was additional scope added to complete the project. In addition to the work identified in the previous resolutions approved by Council, there was an identified field change to correct a grade issue through installation of an additional inlet and drain line. The purpose of this Resolution is to request funding for the corresponding additional CM services to oversee the project to completion.
