BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
On Aug. 27, 2024, the Town Council approved Resolution 24-118 for a construction agreement between the Town and Goodland Construction, Inc. for the Downtown Infrastructure Improvement Project.
This project provided improvements to the Downtown section of Erie.
With the completion of the project, it was discovered that there was an error in the quantities and the project contingency of $92,796 was not adequate to cover the additional cost. The Contractor has completed the project and needs to be compensated for the work they did.
The project contingency was requested in the August 27, 2024 Town Council Memo, however the contingency was not included in the agreement, but was included in the approved Purchase Order for the project. This agreement includes both the additional $23,792.50 funds needed for the project and the original $92,796 contingency.
The URA will need to also approve the additional funds. This is scheduled for the June 23, 2026 URA Meeting.
