SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Colorado Municipal League (CML) works with Colorado cities and towns to develop and improve municipal government. CML provides services that increase the efficiency of Colorado cities and towns, and advocates for legislative enactments that benefit municipalities while opposing legislation considered by CML to be injurious.

The CML Executive Board consists of 21 municipal elected and appointed officials elected by their peers at the CML Annual Conference in June. For more information on the Executive Board's roles and responsibilities, see this link.

From now through Friday, May 31 at 5 p.m. CML is accepting applications to serve on the Executive Board. For more information on the application process, see this link.

If the Council is interested in endorsing a candidate to run for the CML Executive Board, staff will prepare a resolution for the Council to consider during Council's May 28 meeting endorsing the person Council selects. At this Study Session, this issue is for discussion only.
