Staff recommend approving and submitting to the Boulder County Commissioners the attached Letter of Support for the East Boulder Creek Site Management Plan for the Prairie Run Open Space.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The members of the Open Space & Trails Advisory Board and Erie Parks Staff have been working alongside Boulder County Open Space staff for the better part of the last year to bring forward a site management plan to activate the County-owned open space areas north of Kenosha Road, west of County Line Road, to include a trail network connecting the Kenosha Farms neighborhood and Erie’s Spine Trail west to the Boulder County open space areas near Highway 287. Tonight’s agenda item is the review and approval of a support letter for the project. This letter will be submitted to the Boulder County Commissioners in advance of their public hearing for this project on March 28.
