SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
On Dec. 13, 2022, the Town Board executed a professional services agreement with JR Engineering, LLC for Construction Management Services for the Zones 3 and 4 Waterline Extension - Phase 2B Improvements.
During the construction of the two waterlines, plan changes were needed to realign the two waterlines and additional inspection time was needed due to additional work for the Construction Contractor. Although JR Engineering, LLC tried to keep the project within the contract funds, the extra work exceeded the contract amount and JR Engineering, LLC is asking for additional funds to cover their cost.
Staff recommends the Town Council approve the amendment to the professional services agreement with JR Engineering, LLC to authorize the additional services that were needed to complete the project.
