Summary and Background of Subject Matter:

The Town of Erie extended a lease agreement in 2023 with Diana Shannon Living Trust for 130 Wells Street in downtown Erie to provide a location for downtown placemaking activities. To continue activating the site, offset the Town’s operating cost, and bring attractive services/businesses to Downtown, and as we did in 2021, 2022, and 2023, Town staff proposes to enter into a Sublease Agreement with Ryno Retail, LLC d/b/a Plum Creek Garden Market for three months at a monthly rental amount of $1,670. If approved, Plum Creek Garden Market will operate at 130 Wells Street from April 1 to July 17, 2024.

Fiscal Impact: The Town will receive an additional $5,010 in rental income over the term of the sub-lease.
