SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
T-Mobile wants to renew their lease space located at the Lynn R. Morgan Water Treatment Facility property on the one-million-gallon water storage tank on the property. T-Mobile has telecom infrastructure on this leased space that provides cellular service to Erie residents and businesses. The Town currently leases space on the water plant property and storage tank to other communication companies that provide similar services to the Town of Erie. They have been leasing the space since 2005.
Fiscal Impact: T-Mobile will pay the Town an annual rental of $25,200. The lease rate will increase by 3% annually.
