SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, USA Inc. (HSS) is a non-profit, social, educational, and cultural organization working towards instilling and promoting discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, and the spirit of selfless service. They conduct regular values-based education programs for children, youth, and adults, fostering a sense of civic duty, responsibility, and volunteerism.

In January, they held their 17th annual “Health for Humanity - Yogathon,'' also known as “Surya Namaskar Yajna” (Sun Salutation Yogathon). The attached proclamation is to recognize this 16-day event that aims to create awareness about Yoga and its advantages in achieving a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Surya Namaskar integrates simple Yoga postures in 10 steps that, along with an easy breathing technique, can provide immense health benefits to the body and the mind. This campaign encourages people from across the country, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, faith, nationality, etc., to participate and achieve personal goals of a healthy lifestyle.
