Summary and Background of Subject Matter:
Mental Health Month was started in 1949 by Mental Health America. Around half of all people in the U.S. will meet the criteria for a diagnosable mental health condition at some point in their lives. Addressing mental health symptoms early is critically important for overall health. With mental health entering more and more of our daily conversations, it’s critical everyone has a solid foundation of knowledge and moves the conversation forward in the community.
